Underwater housings and dive cases in Egypt
Every action camera claims water resistance, and every one of those claims has a depth limit well short of recreational diving. A dedicated dive housing is what takes a camera past a few metres safely.
Stocked cases are rated to 45m and 60m for GoPro, DJI Osmo Action and Insta360, alongside underwater selfie sticks and correction filters.
Diving in the Red Sea
- Depth rating — 45m suits most recreational diving; 60m adds margin for technical work.
- Red filters — water absorbs red first, so footage below about 5m turns blue-green without one. This matters more than any camera setting.
- Seal care — rinse in fresh water after every dive and check the O-ring for sand before closing.
- Buoyancy — a floating grip means a dropped camera surfaces instead of sinking.
